Why We Started Skill Abroad:
Skill Abroad was born out of our collective experiences and a shared vision. We started this company because:
-
We Lived the Journey: Each of us remembers the mixture of excitement and uncertainty that came with deciding to study in Australia. We understand firsthand the challenges of adapting to a new education system, culture, and job market.
-
We Saw the Gap: During our own journeys, we noticed that education consultancy services focused on just getting students into universities, but few addressed the entire journey from research to career establishment.
-
We Wanted to Give Back: After achieving our own successes, we felt a strong desire to help others following in our footsteps. We wanted to be the mentors and guides we once wished for in our own journeys.
Our personal experiences have shaped our approach, allowing us to offer not just professional advice, but genuine empathy and practical insights. At Skill Abroad, we're not just helping students find a university or a job – we're helping them find their path to success in Australia, just as we found ours.
Who We Are at Skill Abroad

Alwin Jose
Hello there! I'm Alwin, and I'm excited to share my journey and potentially help you navigate your own path to studying and building a career in Australia.
I arrived in Australia in February 2018 to pursue my Masters in Engineering, specializing in Engineering Management at Deakin University. This experience gave me firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities that come with being an international student in this wonderful country.
I have four years of experience in asset management in infrastructure and railway portfolios. My expertise includes asset data management, optimization, analysis, technology integration, requirements management, and data visualization.
I'm also a Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC #11521), which means I'm well-equipped to guide you through the process of choosing the right educational path in Australia. Whether you're considering engineering or another field, I can offer insights on course selection, university life, and the transition from study to work.

Anand Sunil
Hello! I'm Anand, and I'd like to share my professional journey with you. I began my career as a Mechanical Engineer in 2016, gaining two years of experience in India and the Middle East after completing my bachelor's degree.
In 2019, I made the exciting decision to relocate to Melbourne to pursue a Master's degree in Engineering Management. While studying, I was fortunate to secure a position as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) at a consulting firm. I started as a casual employee and, upon graduating in 2020, transitioned into a full-time role.
My journey from India to Australia, and from a fresh graduate to a specialized engineer, has been filled with challenges and opportunities. I'm always eager to share my experiences and insights with others who might be considering a similar path, whether it's pursuing higher education abroad or transitioning into the Australian workforce.
